BOG compressors

BOG

When it comes to BOG management, our boosters offer versatile solutions for a variety of applications. With them you can perform a wide range of tasks that will optimize your LNG operations.

For example, you can move LNG through iso-tank pressure management (taking BOG gas from a tank to pressurize the tank being emptied) or they are also the ideal choice for iso-tank BOG suctioning, followed by its re-liquefaction into a Cryobox. In this case, flexibility is key, as you can work over a wide range of suction pressures, from near-atmospheric levels to storage pressure, and even under discharge conditions that suit your specific technical needs.

In the exciting world of BOG management, our boosters give you the ability to maintain a slightly higher pressure than storage, while in liquefaction applications, they can rise to the ZPTS inlet pressure.

Conditions

The boil-off gas stored in the iso-tanks faces low temperatures, around -150°C. Our solution lies in heat exchange at the inlet of the process; We have a variety of options for this, from air-heaters to electrical resistors. We also consider using water heat exchangers to achieve the same effect.

Case of Success

In Eneva (Brazil), we have accomplished a significant milestone in liquefied natural gas (LNG) management with the Jaguatirica project. Our BOG compressors are the core of that operation, allowing for the smooth transfer of LNG from storage to the discharge bays, and even to the regasifiers.

Comprised of the MX200 compressor and a 160 KW electric motor, our configuration ensures performance every step of the way.

In addition, Jaguatirica II optimizes its operation by heating the BOG using an air-heater system. This ingenious process leverages the region’s high temperatures to achieve heat exchange with ambient air.
